VStomp Amp

What it does

An amp modeller built around its cabinets, with Marshall clones among them and a matching list of amp heads. The pedal side is short next to that: a boost, a green overdrive and an enhancer. The download is free and arrives with a couple of setups. The rest unlocks either as one $29.99 purchase covering all the amps and cabs, or a dollar at a time for a single sound, which suits anyone chasing one specific tone.

In the demo

It closes the GE Labs episode as a bonus segment. Jade swaps it into the same GarageBand Inter-App Audio slot, plays what the free download includes, walks the cabinet and head lists and the short pedal selection, then reads out the pricing. She had no unlock, so nothing past the free setups is heard.

Worth knowing

At the time of this demo the layout was built for iPhone and ran scaled on an iPad, which is why Jade gave it a bonus slot rather than a full episode. Anyone working mostly on an iPad should see how it sizes before buying unlocks.
