ToneStack Pro V2 Expansion Pack

What it does

An in-app purchase for ToneStack Pro adding 10 amps, 10 matching cabinets and 30 effects, 50 units in all, and it needs the app updated to 2.0 before any of it appears. The effects run to metal and high gain distortion, overdrives, fuzzes, expanders, phasers, choruses, vibrato, duo delays, jewel delays and a sparkle reverb, with the bass versions grouped at the bottom of each list the way the other packs do. Two V2 preset banks install alongside the app’s Pro 1, Pro 2 and Classic banks.

In the demo

Jade opens the standalone, shows the in-app store where both expansions sit, then plays the new units from a Strat: holding a slot to swap a cabinet, dropping in a gate, splitting the signal with the ABY unit and teaching a wah to a MIDI pedal. She then runs the AUv3 in AUM and works through the V2 banks.

Worth knowing

It needs ToneStack Pro itself, which is a separate purchase, and sits beside the much larger Pot o’ Gold expansion that Jade says lists at $59 and goes on sale several times a year.
