What it does

It holds whatever is coming in at its original pitch and keeps it running as a drone. Four live layers stack with ADD, swap with REPLACE and melt with RELEASE, each shaped by a swell curve for bloom and fade. A 16-step slicer chops the hold to host tempo with pattern presets and a drawable grid, and smear, shimmer, grit, width and drift colour it. Eight pads store stacks in latch, momentary or hit mode, with MIDI notes and CC for live control.

In the demo

Jade freezes sung notes into layers in AUM, builds a vocal drone, saves the stack to a pad, then records another pad from guitar. She steps through the slicer patterns and the colour controls on the held vocal, and shows that unsaved layers disappear once a pad is recalled.

Worth knowing

There are no factory presets, so the sound is whatever you capture and save. It needs a host such as Loopy Pro, AUM, Logic Pro or GarageBand, and it is an iPhone and iPad release rather than a Mac one, despite what the video title says.
