GlitchBud

What it does

A live glitch processor with 64 pads on four pages. Each pad carries one of sixteen effects: rolls, stutters, erode, shuffles, a step sequencer, tape stops, reverse, a gater, freeze, granular scan and smear, and stems effects that make eight inputs play each other. Hold a pad to glitch, let go and the dry signal returns. Each pad keeps its own timing, grid, lookback, mutate chance and routing.

In the demo

Jade builds up in AUM from one Hammerhead beat, working through all sixteen effects a pad at a time, then adds a piano and a synth to feed the stems effects. She routes pads to spare channels holding Tape Fiasco and a reverb, then lets SnakeBud fire random notes at the pads.

Worth knowing

It only treats audio arriving at its inputs, so it sits in a host chain. Jade notes the knobs have no double-tap reset and the note mapping is fiddly.
