What it does

A granular effect that records incoming audio into a buffer and replays it as grains: freeze, stutter, glitch, time stretch, pitch shift, reverse and texture. Buffer length is set in note divisions from a full bar down to a sixteenth, and recording triggers from host clock, MIDI notes or a multiband transient detector. Density, grain size, position, speed, jitter and pitch each carry modulation underneath from LFOs, envelopes, randomizers and a drawable sequencer. A harvester page swaps all that for one orb moved through a field of the same controls. Filters, reverbs, delay, flanger and chorus follow.

In the demo

Jade works it in AUM over a mic, a piano line, a sine wave and drums, printing her voice into the buffer and scrubbing through it. She isolates kick or snare with the transient detector, then draws flight paths for the harvester orb.
