What it does

A free stem separator. Songs come in from Files, the media library, the camera roll or a pasted link, and AI processing returns either a vocal and instrumental pair or a six way split into vocals, drums, bass, piano, guitar and the rest. Stems mute and unmute individually, which is what makes it usable as a karaoke maker. It also reads the tempo, offers a metronome with subdivisions, shifts the key up or down an octave, and records a new vocal over the result.

In the demo

Jade splits a master of her own against the same track pulled from a YouTube link, which shows how much the source bitrate matters. She pushes one into a many way split and finds vocal bleed sitting in the piano stem, and the export button quits the app every time she presses it.

Worth knowing

Processing happens off the device, so the audio is uploaded somewhere, which Jade raises several times. Apple Music and iTunes links are refused.
