What it does
The iOS app is a stem splitter. Import a track and it pulls apart vocals, drums and bass, down to kicks and hi-hats, reads lyrics and chords, transposes and time-stretches playback, and detects BPM. Moises Studio, the wider cloud workspace with stem generation, voice conversion, mixing, mastering and a lyric writer, is a browser product opened from inside the app.
In the demo
Jade brings a guitar part and a vocal into a Studio project on iPad, runs chord detection, generates drums and bass from the soloed guitar, swaps the vocal onto session singers and puts a mix through mastering. An earlier episode stays in the iOS app, splitting tracks sent in by listeners.
Worth knowing
Everything runs in the cloud on a subscription, and the free tier caps songs at five minutes. Stems export as MP3 or M4A rather than WAV, and reverb on a mixed source always leaves artifacts in the split.
