springVerb

What it does

A spring reverb offering a list of modelled tanks, among them vintage, big, rack, studio, small, digital and a set called unique, each with its own density and rattle. It carries the same controls as the other OSC Audio reverbs: pre-delay, decay, damping, width and mix, a three-band EQ on the reverb, filters, ducking, panning, separate left and right repeat speed and decay, and a mono switch, with presets in send and insert versions.

In the demo

Jade covers this one last, dropping it onto the drum kit she had been running plateVerb on and working down the spring list so the boing and drip of each tank can be compared directly.

Worth knowing

Spring character does not disappear into a mix the way a room reverb does, which suits guitar, dub and surf more than general ambience. It is also sold with spaceVerb and plateVerb in a bundle, and on desktop through OSC Audio’s Gumroad store. Presets are saved and recalled through the Files app rather than an in-app browser, so they sit in whatever folder you choose.
