Vesper

What it does

A stereo delay and reverb for iPhone and iPad, standalone and as an AUv3. Six echo arrangements combine with eight space voices, covering pitch-shifted trails, reverse textures and stereo cross-feedback, and the two engines can feed each other across ten insert slots. Wave Field opens the pedal into three touch surfaces, time, space and fracture, where one drag reshapes a group of parameters at once. Six modulation sources, a 16-step sequence and twelve routes keep it moving, and the BECOME control runs a different transformation in each preset. Freeze, Memory Glass and a three-layer stereo looper of up to 20 seconds are built in, alongside 100 factory presets.

In the demo

Jade runs five instances in an AUM project over guitar, vocals and drums, then takes one apart: the preset list and A/B, the audition phrase, looper layers in reverse and half speed, host-synced echo divisions and the Wave Field surfaces.

Worth knowing

It ships without a manual, so Jade works several dials out on camera and says which ones she is guessing at. The Mac and Windows build is a separate 59 euro purchase from the developer’s site.
