What it does
A real-time granular effect that records incoming audio into a buffer and plays it back as up to 50 grains. Controls cover grain count, size (tempo-synced or free in chaos mode), feedback, dwell, diffusion, envelope shape, pitch over two octaves and forward, reverse or random direction. Randomization spreads size, count, amplitude, pan and position, and a shift section keeps random pitch inside a scale.
In the demo
Jade starts with everything at zero on a Spelldozer synth in AUM and adds one control at a time, so rhythmic repeats, feedback loops and smeared tails are heard separately. She then runs the presets and drops it under a Harmony Bloom felt piano.
Worth knowing
Grains take a moment to build after audio starts, and pitch is set by dragging, which Jade finds hard to land on exact semitones. A desktop version is sold on the Audio Damage site at a higher price.
