What it does

A rock session drummer with banks for rock, grunge, funk rock and shuffles, kits mixed part by part across three drummers, and a per-part mixer with compressor, EQ, filter, delay and reverb. Jam and intensity loosen or tighten the playing, eight live pads store loadouts, and song mode chains parts into an arrangement. Version 7 adds an AUv3, a sound module mode that turns the kit into a MIDI sampler, and groove sharing with the other Lumbeat drummers and iBassist.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM beside iBassist and a guitar, passes grooves back and forth between the two, and pulls one in from Funk Drummer. She plays the kit from an Arturia keyboard through the sound module and records its MIDI out into Helium.

Worth knowing

Incoming MIDI only triggers the kit on channel one, and a fresh install defaults to channel ten. The download is free with a seven-day trial, while the extra drummers and the studio mix banks are in-app purchases on top of the unlock. An earlier demo on the channel covers the older Inter-App Audio build at length.
