Augmatic GRE

What it does

A drum pattern generator that makes no sound of its own and sends MIDI to whatever drum app you point it at. Six channels, bass drum, snare, hi-hat and three accent parts, run two engines side by side: a Grids-style XY map with density and chaos per voice, and a Euclidean page with steps, pulses and rotation. A blend dial crossfades between them, a linear grid decides which parts take priority, and pre and post probability, swing, humanize and per-drum clock division shape the result.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM into Clevgrand OneShot, the FAC drum kit, DigiStix and Baby Audio Techno, switching note maps as she changes target so each kit lands on the right keys. She works the blend dial live, layers probability on a channel until it stops playing, then records a saved pattern into Logic.

Worth knowing

It is a MIDI processor, so it needs a drum instrument alongside it, and channels can fall silent depending on where the blend dial sits. On first load it asks for a Files folder to save into.
