Ringo Beats: Chaos Drums

What it does

A generative drum instrument where three chaotic systems propose hits, a Lorenz attractor for kick, snare and clap, a Henon map for hats and a logistic map for fills, and a per-voice Markov policy decides what actually plays. A blend control sets how far the result follows the learned policy or the attractors. Eight kits, six synthesised voices, MIDI recording and per-voice MIDI out.

In the demo

Jade starts in the free browser build, moves to the standalone, then pulls every chaos control to zero and reintroduces them one at a time so each one is audible. She finishes with the AUv3 loaded as a MIDI processor, firing Gospel Drummer and DigiStix over General MIDI notes she reassigns on the fly.

Worth knowing

The AUv3 needs host sync running before it produces anything. Nothing loops or repeats by design, so anyone wanting a pattern they can reproduce exactly will want a conventional step sequencer.
