What it does

Splits a stereo drum track, or a whole mix, into kick, snare, hi-hat, toms, ride, crash and Other stems as the audio plays, with no render step. Each stem has volume, mute, solo, gate and transient controls, and a MIDI output with articulation sorting for hats and toms. Processing runs on the iPad GPU.

In the demo

Jade loads it as an effect in AUM, rebalances a drum loop, then routes the MIDI into Helium and replays the captured notes through OneShot and DigiStix kits. She runs a full song through it, sorts hi-hat articulations, and shows multibus output into separate channels.

Worth knowing

The iPad build is real-time only: the desktop version’s offline quality modes and Drumagog sample replacement are absent. Output lags the source slightly, so recorded MIDI needs nudging, and the Other stem should be muted to avoid stray notes. Desktop is a separate $99 purchase.
