What it does

An AUv3 MIDI plugin that generates related chords from a root note and a major or minor mode using its own algorithm rather than scale tables. A complexity setting moves the suggestions from plain triads toward sevenths, ninths and elevenths, and a freedom setting lets them wander outside the tonality. Chords land in a palette you edit by swiping for voicings, replacements or a piano editor, then arrange in a song section. Block chords, arpeggiator and strummer each carry their own patterns, and separate MIDI output ports can send bass, chords and arpeggios to different instruments.

In the demo

Jade builds a palette from scratch in AUM driving iSymphonic, then connects a hardware keyboard so the keys step through the chords and switch the playing mode. A later update, covered in her follow up show, adds named song sections with a conductor that assembles them into a full arrangement, drag and drop reordering, and a humanize page for timing and velocity.

Worth knowing

It sends MIDI, so it needs an instrument behind it. Jade could not load soundfonts inside the AUv3 in GarageBand and records its MIDI to a track instead.
