What it does
Panflow is an auto-panner built around a drawable pattern. The pan shape sits on a grid: draw it by hand, snap it to the grid, or hit randomize, which offers three complexity levels and angular, curved or stepped shapes. Rate follows a note division and can sync to the host. A range control narrows how far the signal travels, a threshold holds panning back until the signal is loud enough, and a feather smooths the movement. The shape is also sent out as a MIDI CC.
In the demo
Jade runs it across a full AUM project, then takes one pad on its own so the movement is audible. She sends the pan shape out as CC1 to control a filter cutoff in VHS Synth, turns on loop randomize so the pattern rewrites itself every few passes, and squashes the range with the side panel.
Worth knowing
Headphones or monitors are the point here; on a phone speaker there is nothing to hear. AudioModern also gives the Mac and Windows version away from its own site in exchange for an email address.
