What it does
A convolution reverb loaded with roughly 100 impulses taken from the Alesis MidiVerb II, sorted into gated, reverse, chorused, delay and effect banks, with decay times running from a fraction of a second to a full minute. Controls cover pre-delay that can sync to note divisions, decay by time stretching the impulse, added diffusion, high and low frequency dampening, plus modulation and a spin control that animates the tail. Presets save, export and import, and any dial can be locked or MIDI learned by holding it.
In the demo
Jade puts it on piano, a bus send in AUM, drums, an electric guitar through a Tonex pedal, and vocals, working through the impulse categories at each stop. She spends time on dampening and on where a reverb sits in a full mix rather than soloed.
Worth knowing
Changing decay or dampening rebuilds the impulse, so it lags a beat and is awkward to sweep live. A desktop version is sold separately by Audiority.
