What it does
A reverb built as a short echo, the trick composers used on the NES and SNES when there was no memory for a real reverb. The echo runs one or two delay lines with time synced to note divisions or set in milliseconds, plus feedback and stereo width. Around it sit a pre filter and a post filter, each switchable between low cut and high cut with cutoff and resonance, a vibrato section, and a colorization block holding a bit crusher, a downsampler and a pitch shifter. Every parameter is open to modulation.
In the demo
Jade runs it on miniBit chiptune parts, then on piano and modern sounds, building from an init patch so the echo alone is audible. She compares the NES and SNES presets and works through the echo, lo-fi, modulation, reverb and sound effect banks.
Worth knowing
There is no Mac build, and a desktop version is sold separately by AudioThing. The randomizer can jump levels sharply, so Jade locks the mix parameters before using it.
