Matthew Caldwell Free AUv3 Collection

What it does

Four free AUv3 audio effects from Matthew Caldwell, originally released as Inter-App Audio plugins and now re-released for hosts like AUM and GarageBand. Osculatrix is a tremolo with modulated filters, delays and saturation. NebulizerAU is a lo-fi, warbling tape delay. MuckrakerAU is a distortion and fuzz effect. FrobulatorAU is a spectral delay with high, band and low pass filtering.

In the demo

Jade runs each plugin on its own source in AUM: Osculatrix on chords from July, NebulizerAU and FrobulatorAU on Pianoteq piano, MuckrakerAU on Dark Park. She works through the presets and the three selectable algorithms each one carries, then stacks FrobulatorAU on Dark Park for a feedback-heavy finish.

Worth knowing

All four are separate App Store downloads with a handful of presets each. They lean toward broken, gritty and unstable textures, so anyone after clean, transparent delay or saturation is looking at the wrong set.
