What it does

A reverb with a distortion stage inside it, so the tail clips or overdrives rather than decaying cleanly. Mix, decay and room size sit next to a pre-delay with its own low and high controls, a wobble frequency and a mids control, then the drive itself, which relabels from soft clip to overdrive as it is pushed. A ribbon along the bottom morphs any group of knobs together, a hot switch jumps to a stored setting, and the distortion can follow the host tempo. It runs standalone or as an AUv3.

In the demo

Jade walks the controls on a Hammerhead drum pattern, runs the ambient, ethereal and instrument preset banks, then pushes the mix until the beat turns into drone. She moves on to SynthMaster and a wavetable synth, a screamed vocal, and a bass guitar played live.

Worth knowing

The preset banks lean large and modulated, and most of what is here is an effect rather than a room. Anyone after a natural space will be working against it.
