MagicPitch

What it does

A spectral pitch shifter that gives each part of the frequency range its own treatment. Points drawn on a spectrum set pitch in steps, up or down as far as 24 semitones, with a balance control between pitch shifting and frequency shifting and a separate frequency offset. Four colour-coded channels hold their own drawings and blend through an XY pad, with invert, shift and skew plus stereo spreads on each. A loudness EQ with low and high shelves sits near the output, and eight assignable LFOs, including drawn shapes, move any parameter. Randomization runs at three strengths with per-parameter opt-outs.

In the demo

Jade swaps it in for MagicBlur on the same piano, so the shared interface is covered first, then sets two channels an octave apart to show them cancelling as the XY pad crosses the middle. She runs the artist presets, adds drums and 808 sounds, and stacks it with MagicBlur and MagicDelay.

Worth knowing

Detuning and fattening are the gentle end. Much of the range is extreme, so anyone after clean transposition will find this pointed elsewhere. GSDSP sells a desktop edition separately from its own site.
