GSDSP Quantum Granulator

What it does

A live granular processor built on two recording buffers, each fed from the main input, sidechain A or sidechain B. Grain length, rate, offset and pitch each carry their own randomisation amount and can run free, in milliseconds or synced to host divisions. Pitch can be constrained to scales or chords or triggered live from MIDI, and eight modulation slots offer LFOs, 2D shapes, randoms, followers and device motion.

In the demo

Jade granulates Scaler chords, then routes a WayMaker part and a drum kit into the two sidechains as multibus instances in AUM. She runs the ambient and dust preset banks on a wet-only mix, then puts a guitar through it.

Worth knowing

It suits sustained, chord-based material more than plucks, and Jade notes her first patches came out too chaotic to use. Grain count goes to 64, so older devices will want that lower. GSDSP sells a desktop version on their own site.
