GigFast Lite

What it does

A guitar amp app built around neural captures. Every preset holds three channels, and each channel takes either one of the app’s own amp models or a NAM file you import, with its own cabinet impulse response and an EQ placed before or after the amp. Around that sit gain, bass, mid, treble, presence, resonance and volume, plus a noise gate, an overdrive and a spring reverb. Preset banks store sets of tones, and MIDI CC can switch banks and channels or drive any control.

In the demo

Jade downloads free captures and cabinet impulses from Tone Hunt, imports them, and dials in tones on a seven string guitar in AUM with the developer watching in chat. She then replaces every guitar track in an unreleased metal song with it, gives each track its own channel, and sings over the result.

Worth knowing

Free to download with a trial, then either a subscription or a one-off payment for lifetime access. It arrives with a handful of its own models, so most of the character comes from NAM and impulse files you go and fetch yourself. Jade uses it entirely on high gain sounds here.
