What it does
An expanded version of the Fizz module from FAC Punchlab. It modulates the input at audio rate to add digital noise artifacts, with a draggable frequency and width pad, a mix control, and modulator sources covering peak and wide noise in mono or stereo, sine, triangle, and internal or external audio. An envelope follower with rise and fall drives it, a sideband control isolates the modulation products, and a resonant filter sits pre or post.
In the demo
Jade puts it on a bass line in AUM alongside drums, sweeping the frequency pad and stepping through each noise source before switching the modulation from internal to a drum sidechain. She then rebuilds that sidechain routing in Logic.
Worth knowing
It is a texture tool rather than a clean processor, and the sideband and rectification settings push it well away from the source. Anyone who owns FAC Punchlab already has a simpler version of this in it.
