EN Hardball Guitar Amplifier

What it does

A guitar amp plugin modelled on the ENGL Powerball II and drawn like the front of the head. Channel tabs cover clean, crunch and two lead channels, with a mid boost switchable into any of them, and a master section carrying presence, depth and two master slots. An effects rack behind the panel holds the EQ including that boosted mid, the lead volumes and the gain they share, and a noise gate with threshold, range and a fast or slow release. A cabinet page lists cabinets with the microphone already placed on the cone.

In the demo

Jade plays a seven string through it in AUM, moves across the channels, and works the gate until the release stops cutting note tails short. She puts another Nembrini pedal in front of it, then writes a grindcore track in GarageBand in half an hour, tracking two guitar parts on different presets and panning them apart.

Worth knowing

This is one amp rather than a rack, so pedals go in front of it in the host. Nembrini sells desktop versions of its amps from its own site.
