What it does
A bit crusher and sample rate reducer in one small AUv3. Sample rate runs from 48 kHz all the way down to 20 Hz, bit depth from 16 bits down to a single bit, and a range booster lifts what is left of the signal back into usable level. An envelope follower ties the amount of crushing to the incoming dynamics, and a mix control blends it against the dry signal. The bunny illustration animates as the processing gets heavier.
In the demo
Jade runs it on a solo piano track, sweeping each control on its own so the breakup is audible stage by stage, then adds a limiter to keep the peaks in check. She plays the ten Easter-themed factory presets and finishes by turning a plain drum kit into a video game kit.
Worth knowing
This is a destruction tool rather than a subtle warmth box, so anyone after gentle analog colour will want a saturator instead. A desktop build for Mac and Windows exists alongside the iOS version.
