Disto Disco

What it does

A distortion effect with 28 modes grouped into five families: Drive for warmth, folding, fuzz and crushing, Spectral for filtering, morphing and vocoding, Math for combinatorial textures, Time for echoes and resonances, and Granular for grains and clouds. Any dial can be handed a beat-synced 16-step pattern or a drawn curve, and an envelope follower ties the amount to input level. Tone controls, a compressor and a Spice dial that scales how far Random travels.

In the demo

Jade runs chords from Juno and Scaler 3 through it, moving mode by mode so each family is audible. She draws modulation shapes onto drive and pitch, sets patterns free-running or synced, then adds drums and runs presets.

Worth knowing

Everything sits on one screen, which keeps it fast but means a lot of small controls on an iPhone. The desktop version is sold separately at a much higher price, around 59 euros.
