What it does

A free expansion pack for AudioModern’s Playbeat 4 drum machine, produced by Princess Nostalgia. It holds 30 presets and 150 audio samples of robotic, chopped and processed vocals arranged into glitchy, machine-style rhythms. Each preset can be randomized and reshaped with Playbeat’s own pattern engine, and the samples can be dragged into your own kits.

In the demo

Jade shows where the pack lives in the expansions dial, how to import it manually if you grabbed it from the website, and scrolls the sample list. She then runs Playbeat 4 as an AUv3 and plays every preset back to back, so the whole set is audible in a few minutes.

Worth knowing

The pack is free but needs Playbeat 4, which is a free download with a $29.99 unlock on iPad and $89 on desktop. Packs bought on the website work on both. Anyone after conventional drum kits will find this is vocal material only.
