What it does
The effects section lifted out of Baby Audio’s BA-1 synth and released on its own. It holds drive with switchable circuit and overdrive modes, a resonant filter, a tone tilt, a synced or free delay, a reverb and a chorus, plus a wet mix and volume. A speaker switch adds the modelled cabinet from the original hardware, which colours everything that passes through.
In the demo
Jade runs piano chords through each block in turn, pushing the filter until it self-oscillates and comparing the two distortion modes. She then puts it on a granular synth patch and a generative glockenspiel line, stacking an extra reverb on top to show it layering with a host’s own effects.
Worth knowing
It is a fixed chain in a fixed order, with no routing or per-block presets. Anyone wanting a modular pedalboard will want something else, though nothing here costs anything to try.
