What it does
Auria Pro is a one-off-purchase iPad DAW, and this episode is about getting audio into it. Tracks are added as mono or stereo, each assigned an input from a connected interface and carrying a PSP ChannelStrip with expander, EQ and compressor plus four AUv3 inserts. Regions are then edited in place, not in a separate editor.
In the demo
Jade opens a project with no tracks, adds two mono ones, and arms one for vocals and one for guitar. She records a guitar part through ToneStack, then a vocal, and works both over: fades and crossfades off the region handles, split, split all, join, lock and duplicate, gain by dragging the region height, and processes for normalize, reverse and pitch with formant control. The tempo track takes a tempo and time signature change mid song.
Worth knowing
Some installed AUv3s never appear in the plugin list. The channel strip close button still ignores a mouse, so she taps it. Buses, the master section and Drumagog are left to later episodes.
