Auria Pro

What it does

A full iPad DAW with unlimited audio and MIDI tracks, eight buses plus auxes, real-time warping with elastique Pro, and groove quantize. Every channel carries a PSP ChannelStrip and the master a MasterStrip, with four AUv3 inserts per track. It hosts AUv3 and Inter-App Audio and swaps sessions with desktop DAWs over AAF.

In the demo

This first episode walks the three versions on sale and the upgrade path between them, then the mixer: the channel strip, the eight buses and auxes, and the master strip with its bus processing and limiter. It opens the Auria store, where Drumagog, FabFilter and Sugar Bytes are in-app purchases and the Lyra kits are free, then visits the project screen and hands a session over to Logic Pro.

Worth knowing

iPad only, a one-off purchase rather than a subscription. The cheaper Auria is $24.99 plus a $24.99 upgrade to Pro, the same total. The later episodes cover what has changed since, and the parts Jade wants changed next.
