AU3FX:Space

What it does

An AUv3 reverb on one page: dry and wet mix, output gain, room size and a scale for it, pre-delay, color, swirl, damping, stereo spread, and a low pass cutoff and resonance that can be run from an LFO. The preset list is long, covering springs and small rooms through to halls and very large dark spaces. It is the Inter-App Audio AUFX: Space rebuilt under a new name, which is where the three came from, and the first of Kymatica’s four FX apps to move over.

In the demo

Jade works it in AUM on an acoustic guitar with MixBox in front, then on an SM58 vocal, then over iSymphonic orchestra patches, a PureSynth bass, Mononoke and GeoShred strings. She sweeps room size, color, swirl and stereo spread on the guitar, and watches the DSP meter sit around 50 to 60 with several heavy apps loaded.

Worth knowing

It is AUv3 only and will not open standalone. Jade says the Inter-App Audio version was $7.99, so the rebuild costs less. The control set is deliberately short, so anyone after seeds, modulation matrices or convolution is looking at the wrong reverb.
