What it does

A lo-fi processor split into noise, drive, digital and tape sections, with filtered input and output stages either side. Noise covers hiss, electrical hum or whine and crackle, tuned by a shared colour control. Drive is a saturator with three algorithms, digital is a bit crusher with a glitch control, and tape adds wow, flutter, dropouts and stereo width. A liveliness slider under each section adds drift, and the noise can duck under incoming audio.

In the demo

Jade builds a noise bed from the init patch before any audio is running, then feeds drums through it and works the preset list. Later she assigns mLFO to the colour and mix controls over MIDI CC so the noise itself becomes a rhythm, and layers a synth over the result.

Worth knowing

There is no limiter built in and the drive gets loud fast, so put one after it. The effect generator presets also pull the input down, which silences any audio you were feeding in.
