Ambiente Room Simulator

What it does

A room simulator that places sound sources in a shared virtual space rather than adding reverb per track. Instances talk to each other over the local network, so moving an instrument in one app moves it everywhere. There are four studios with selectable room types, sizes, absorption materials from concrete to acoustic tiles, adjustable mic distance, a technical view giving real dimensions and angles, templates, and preset import and export. The same engine is built into the SWAM instruments; this is the standalone version for everything else.

In the demo

Jade positions a PianoTeq part and a SWAM cello section in one room, moves each between studios, adds an older SWAM sax with an expression pedal, and shows the mic distance and absorption settings changing the space.

Worth knowing

It needs local network permission granted for every SWAM app or the instances will not link, and dragging a source while audio plays produces audible stepping.
