yaleD - Reverse Delay

What it does

An AUv3 delay that returns its repeats backwards. The panel is input gain, feedback, a cross pan setting where the repeats sit left to right, separate dry and wet levels, and a frequency control that decides whether the reversed tail reads as high, mid or low. Delay length is set in time or in beats, and beats mode follows the host tempo rather than accepting a free value. A hold to record button captures a phrase into a single slot that plays back through the effect. There is no standalone version, so it runs inside a host.

In the demo

Jade builds a session in AUM at 77 bpm with a guitar sample, vocals, Ravenscroft piano, a SWAM trumpet, drums, live electric guitar and iSymphonic strings, with Eventide Blackhole after it on most channels. She runs speech through it first, then plays the arrangement live while moving beat length and feedback.

Worth knowing

It does one thing, and Jade calls it very limited in what it does. She points it at drones, textures and back masked fills rather than general echo duties.
