What it does
A sample based instrument, or rompler, rather than a synthesizer: the patches were built on a hardware wavetable synth, processed through its own effects engine, then sampled. Version 1.1 raised the count from 30 instruments to 50, each carrying four parameter sets labelled A to D, with a further bank of variations above them. One screen holds an amp, a filter with attack, decay and amount, pitch and fine tuning, and an LFO.
In the demo
Rob Jackson is in the chat while Jade works through the list in AUM, holding single notes and one finger chords from an Arturia KeyStep 37 so each sample can ring out and shift. She then opens GarageBand projects to try the variation bank against tracks she already had going.
Worth knowing
iPad only and AUv3 only, so it needs a host such as AUM or GarageBand. It sits alongside Rob Jackson’s Waverley XL rather than replacing it, and the sounds lean toward drones, pads and horror textures.
