What it does
A time stretch and pitch shift effect with three controls: speed, stretch and mix. Speed slows audio down or runs it faster, stretch moves pitch independently of that speed, and mix blends the processed signal against the dry one. It is the Warp module from Baby Audio’s Transit 2 as its own AUv3, running in real time inside a host.
In the demo
Jade runs a vocal take through it in AUM, speeding it up and then using stretch to bring the pitch back to where it started. She slows a guitar track down to practice against, then pushes the settings far enough that the processing itself becomes the sound on a SoundBox string patch.
Worth knowing
Heavy stretching leaves artifacts, so a clean time correction on a full mix is not what this is for. The desktop build is also free from the Baby Audio site.
