Voxomat

What it does

A resonant lo-fi modulator built on a harmonic and inharmonic resonator, driven by three tempo-synced LFOs that multiply into each other, an envelope follower and a drawable pitch sequencer of up to 32 steps. Blend, frequency, feedback and body shape the resonance, with separate clippers limiting each. Every parameter is open to MIDI, and the modulation runs from subtle movement to glitchy formant sweeps.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM on Playbeat drums first, building from the init preset one dial at a time, then feeds the frequency from an external LFO app. She moves it onto a bassline where the vocalizing is most audible, then onto piano and a no-input mixer drone.

Worth knowing

Jade says up front she does not understand every parameter and the manual is short, so this rewards exploration rather than preset picking. Anyone wanting a predictable effect with labelled results will find it opaque.
