Voice Synth

What it does

A vocal processor and voice driven instrument that runs standalone, as an AUv3 and over Inter-App Audio. Presets are marked for live microphone or for the internal sampler, and either feeds pitch shifting across plus and minus 36 semitones, separate formant control, a vocoder, delay with an infinite hold, strobo, reverb, chorus and a preset EQ. Registers stack harmony voices, and there is an arpeggiator, scale selection and a designer page for filters and harmonics.

In the demo

Jade runs live mic presets from choir and auto pitch through to dog barks, then holds a single key so the keyboard pitches her voice like a synth. She works the effects row, the registers and the arp, then records a phrase into the sampler and saves it as a new preset.

Worth knowing

Anything plugged into an audio interface can be sampled and then played from the keyboard, so a guitar or a hardware synth works as a source. The sampler controls are small and carry no labels, and Jade loses track of several on camera.
