Visual EQ Console

What it does

A ten filter EQ console: four resonant parametric bands with frequency, gain and bandwidth, plus low and high shelves and low and high pass filters, all adjustable 24 dB either way. A row of knobs sits under each band, cuts can also be dragged in from the edge of the display, and each section has a reset. An FFT analyzer plots the response with pre and post monitoring, and a second panel holds a compressor and limiter with auto makeup gain.

In the demo

Jade puts it on the master strip of a 32 track DreadCircus song in Auria Pro, drags a notch filter around with a pencil, then pulls a low cut into a bounced stereo mix. She shows the waveform going square when the EQ is stacked on a mix already compressed track by track, and ends by loading it in GarageBand instead.

Worth knowing

It is AUv3 only, so it needs a host such as Auria Pro, GarageBand, AUM or Cubasis. The compressor and limiter sit behind a button rather than on the main display.
