Pro-Q 4

What it does

A parametric EQ with up to 24 bands, each switchable between bell, shelf, cut, notch, band pass, tilt and a new all-pass shape, in stereo, mid-side or left-right. Bands can be made dynamic with threshold, attack and release, and a spectral dynamics mode works on inharmonic content across the band. EQ Sketch draws a curve freehand, and Character modes add light saturation.

In the demo

Jade sketches curves with a pencil, then opens the multi-instance view, which shows every Pro-Q 4 in an AUM session on one screen with zoom, pinning, search and clash highlighting. She edits and copies curves without leaving that view, runs an EQ match between two tracks, and repeats it in Logic Pro for iPad.

Worth knowing

This is iPad only, with no iPhone or Mac version, and the multi-instance view pays off most in projects running many instances at once.
