What it does
A channel strip aimed at the stereo master or mix bus, in three sections that switch on independently. The EQ has six fixed bands from sub to presence with a dry/wet blend and a mid/side mode that gives the middle and sides their own curves. A stereo section sets mid and side gain and width down to mono, and the dynamics section runs a compressor into a limiter, each with its own input, then a soft-to-hard clipper and output gain.
In the demo
Jade puts it on the stereo out of a Logic Pro mix, toggles it in and out, and compares loudness in AudioShare. She then uses it on a drum bus in a metal track, and works through every control on a finished mix in AUM.
Worth knowing
The EQ bands sit at fixed frequencies, so anyone wanting to sweep a problem tone will need a parametric EQ ahead of it.
