What it does

A small ambient pack for AudioModern’s SoundBox sampler holding two presets, each assembled from four layers. Layers can be muted, remapped or swapped for sounds from other packs and your own imports, so a preset is a starting point, not a fixed patch. The material is long, slow and atmospheric, and keeps moving while a chord is held.

In the demo

Jade imports the pack, opens it in AUM and plays it from an Arturia keyboard. She holds chords through both presets, switches layers off so each can be heard alone, and points out the coloured markers under the keys showing which range each layer covers.

Worth knowing

Two presets is the whole pack, which Jade addresses directly: the value is in the samples behind them and in mixing with other packs. Anyone after melodic or rhythmic playing will want to look elsewhere. SoundBox is free, with editing unlocked by an AudioModern pack bought in the app.
