What it does
A delay built from a bank of taps whose count and spacing are set by hand, so the same app covers a tight slapback, a rhythmic pattern, a swelling ambient pad or a glitch stutter depending on how the taps are laid out. Push the count and length far enough and the repeats smear into something closer to reverb than to delay.
In the demo
Jade passes every Eventide iOS app across one project with piano, a Playbeat 4 drum pattern and a live vocal. UltraTap gets the tap count and length shown on the piano before she moves to the glitch presets and then onto drums.
Worth knowing
The spotlight format gives it about a minute, so the tap editing is shown rather than explained. Jade has a separate full demo of it on the channel.
