What it does

An ambient soundscape pack of six sounds for SoundBox, AudioModern’s free sampler, named as A and B pairs so each idea comes in two related versions. What sets it apart from the other Kompose Audio soundscape packs is the mapping: the presets put one texture on the bottom of the keyboard and another further up, shimmer down low and a longer, delayed sound above it, so the split is playable from one keyboard.

In the demo

Jade shows what arrives in the download, a pack file and an instructions sheet, then imports it and works through the pairs holding notes in each key zone so the split is obvious. She points out the delay sitting on the upper range only, then uses sounds from this pack in the closing patch where Bounce Bud drives four SoundBox instances.

Worth knowing

The split mapping is the point here, so a preset played in one hand position gives only half of what it holds. SoundBox is free, but its editing pages unlock only after one of AudioModern’s own in-app packs is bought.
