What it does
A cassette tape emulation and a stereo delay in one AUv3. The tape stage has drive, wow and flutter, a procedural splice simulator for dropouts with pitch chirp and amplitude dip, a tilt tone control and a noise generator with hiss, crackle, dust, fan rumble, 50 and 60 Hz hum, white and pink noise and a card reader, each gateable to the delay. The delay runs 20 ms to 10 seconds, syncs to tempo, and by default sends every repeat back through the full tape chain. A post-delay switch flips the order so only the tail is processed.
In the demo
Jade runs it in AUM across piano, drums and pads, taking it in and out of the whole mix first, then walks the tabs on a piano line and finishes on Pro A5 pads with the hum and card reader noise.
Worth knowing
Feedback will not self-oscillate on its own; it only runs away with the drive up. A desktop version is sold separately on the developer’s site at a higher price.
