Tonebridge Guitar Effects

What it does

A guitar effects app built around tones matched to particular songs and artists from Ultimate Guitar’s catalogue. It runs standalone or as an AUv3, and an account adds favourites sorted by date, artist and song. The workshop editor builds a chain from scratch: an amp head, a cabinet with switchable speaker and mic position, an input gate, a feedback guard and a pedal list covering overdrives, distortions, flangers, tremolos and more, each cabinet and head carrying a written description of its character. Saved pedals can take your own artwork, be published to the catalogue, and be grouped into pedalboards.

In the demo

This episode covers the AUv3 rebuild. Jade shows the old fault, where a second track’s tone reverted to the first and vanished on reopening, then loads three duplicated GarageBand tracks with separate tones, closes the project and reopens it intact. She also saves a setup as a GarageBand preset and builds a new pedal.

Worth knowing

Favourites and the workshop both need a sign-in. Jade’s Facebook login failed on the Mac version. An earlier episode covers the app before this rebuild, when she routed it through AudioBus instead.
