What it does

An instrument built on what Klevgrand call audio models, where a monophonic recording is analysed and broken into waves, one assigned per note. The synth page has four sections across the top, gain, depth, pitch and filter, each with an envelope whose points can be dragged, added, removed or scaled, plus LFOs and a mod matrix fed by controllers and velocity. A delay, reverb and EQ follow, and voice settings add harmonies, panning and a humanize option. The editor page is where models are imported and repaired.

In the demo

Jade runs the factory banks first, from vocal ensembles and strings through accordion and saxophones, then records four sung notes into AUM and imports them as a model. She fixes the clicks and gaps by hand, then loads her own voice and guitar models into unrelated presets.

Worth knowing

Imported audio has to be monophonic, and the editor is where the work is. It is an iPad port, so the preset browser and controls are small.
