What it does
A motion effect built on a spinning rotor metaphor, with tremolo, vibrato and pan amounts sharing one rate that can lock to host tempo or run free. A gears switch spins the motion up and down over an adjustable time, and the LFO shape is chosen from saws, sines, exponentials and sample and hold, each draggable to reshape it. The balance knob crossfades between the direct signal and a second instance fed in by sidechain, so two sources modulate each other.
In the demo
Jade starts on a bare sine wave so each control is visible and audible on its own, then puts two instances on a lead and rhythm guitar. She sets up the multibus instance in Logic Pro for iPad to show the sidechain pairing, and runs a bass line into a drum bus to duck it.
Worth knowing
The sidechain mode is silent until a paired instance is routed to it, which needs a multibus setup in the host rather than a normal plug-in slot. AudioThing sells a desktop version at $9.
