What it does

Reshapes whatever audio you feed it through four lanes: volume, pan, filter with 14 types and bitcrush. Each lane has its own step sequencer, 1 to 128 steps, with division, swing, gate, smoothing, rotation and forward, ping pong or reverse direction. Shapes go in by finger, or as ramps, sines, ease curves and power curves. Every control carries a dice assignable to one global randomiser, with locks to hold what works, and lanes link, copy and drag into a different chain order.

In the demo

Jade works it in AUM over an ambient project at 40 BPM, building the bitcrush lane first and pulling it back with the dry wet mix and smoothing, then the filter lane on its vowel setting. She finishes on a field recording kit with reverb after it.

Worth knowing

The App Store build is iPad only. A Mac and Windows version is $19 from the developer’s site. Four effects and no delay or reverb of its own make it a movement box rather than a rack.
